1946 Born in Miharu town Fukushima prefecture.
1970 Built a wood kiln and started rakuyaki, and in 1971, built a small wood kiln to study honyaki and tried Hagiyaki, Kiseto, Shino, etc.
1975 Studied the strategies to construct anagama(a style of kiln) and trials for better firing.
1977 Constructed jagama(snake kiln) in Namie, Fukushima.
1983 Built anagama in Ono Town, Japan.
1985 Acquired new studio "Yuuhoutoubou" in Miharu.
1997 Built Dancing Fire Wood Kiln in Miharu, Japan.
1998 Built Dancing Fire Wood Kilns with Marc Lancet during workshop at Solano College, California, and in Eau Claire, Wisconsin USA.
1999 Attended CCAC, held an exhibition and gave a lecture with Marc Lancet.
2000 Kiln building workshop at potter David Caradori's studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
2001 Kiln building workshop of the world's first smokeless kiln at the Burnaby city art center in Canada.
Workshop at the Redding Museum of Art and History CA.
2002 Built the 'Sasukenei' smokeless kiln in Miharu, Japan.
2003 Solano Community College Honorary Art Professor for CA workshop in USA.
Attended Aomori international wood firing festival as a special guest.
Invited by Czech-republic ceramic potters for ceramic wood firing workshop and exhibition in Klikov.
2004 Workshop and lecture for professional potters at the Peninsula school in Wisconsin.
Wood fire workshop at David Caradori's studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Ceramic workshop at SCC CA USA with Marc Lancet in California.
2005 From July , spent ten months at the hospital for cancer.
Three day workshop with Steve Tootell in Mashiko.
Published book "Secrets of Japanese Wood fire Ceramic" with Marc Lancet from USA.
2006 Came home in March and started ceramic work in summer.
2007

Published German version of "Secrets of Japanese Wood fire Cereamic" with Marc Lancet.


Built 'Sasukenei' smokeless kilnb in Mashiko at Furuki's studio.
Workshop in Czech Republic.
Lecture at the Asian Art Museum in California, USA.

Built 'Sasukenei' smokeless kiln in Jingdezhen, China. Sept Visit to CA UAS for 10 year Dancing with fire Slano Community College Event. Oct Visit to Czech Republic for workshop & Lecture.
